Rory came to Westpointe though the generosity of Shannalee Waller-Michalsky, Akadia Shelties, and co-owner Tammy Blakely, Iona Shelties.

Rory is a very nice moving dog and excels in type and temperament.  By 14 months old Rory already had a US Best in Specialty Show win and 13 pts with 3 majors (including 2  specialty majors and one major under a breeder judge) under respected Judges Debra Tessman, Barbara Lynden, Glenda Henson and Lloyd Grazier.  Rory also placed 2nd in the Open Sable class at the American National in 2007. Rory finished his US Championship by 2 years old with a 4th major win.

Rory made his Canadian ring debut at the Alberta Kennel Club shows, and Alberta Shetland Sheepdog and Collie Association Specialty show in Calgary in February, 2007, picking up a Best of Winners Dog at the Specialty.  Rory attained his Canadian Championship with 3 - 5 point wins. 

Rory has some very promising rising stars. Congratulations go out to Joanne Howe, Conspirito Shelties who finished her "Indy" in fine style.  Further congratulations go to Diane Waldron, Edgview Shelties, Calgary Alberta who finished 2 Rory kids with a bang; BPISS Ch. Edgeview in Style, and BPIG Ch. Edgeview in Vogue. Singly and together they have caused quite a stir with recent BIS and BISS Brace wins!. 

Rory has left us with two beautiful kids; Multi BPIS Ch. Avonlea Just One Look, "Solo", and Ch. Coastwynn Westpointe Advantage, "Honey".  We also have a number of awesome grandkids growing up and awaiting their chance in the ring!

Rory is enjoying his life with Glenda, taking on Obedience, and I am sure his all time favorite, Agility!!
